The holidays are over but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end! Here are all the great Marshalltown events, classes, concerts, and activities this upcoming weekend, January 12-14. Did we miss anything? Leave a note in the comments or send us an email at info@marshalltownmoms.com and we’ll add it to our list!

Calendar

Saturday, January 13th

  • 9:00 AM – Lure Making at Grimes Farm & Conservation Center. Join amateur fly tiers as well as other artificial lure makers as they demonstrate their skill of lure making. Molding, casting, carving and painting crank baits and making spinner baits will be part of the demonstration. A limited number of kits will be available first come first serve for kids under 15 to make their own lures and take home.
  • 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Annual Magazine Giveaway at the Marshalltown Public Library in the community meeting rooms. (We love the library!) Every year the library discards the oldest issues in its collection of periodicals to make room for the upcoming year. 2015 magazines will be offered free for the taking at this year’s giveaway. Hundreds of magazine titles will be included and cover most any interest: crafts, history, sports, health, gardening, women’s and men’s issues and more. Bring a bag or box and take home a winter’s worth of good reading. For more information, call the library at 641-754-5738 ext. 2
  • 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM – Winter Holidays Craft Event at the Best Western – Over 30 Crafters & Home Business vendors. Best Western Regency, 3303 South Center Street, Marshalltown, IA.
