Hey everyone! Ryane here, or as you will come to know me, Little Audrey. Audrey was my Great-Grandmother and my most beloved mentor. I am her namesake, and she is my inspiration.
We are, of course, a Moms blogging group, so primarily: I’m a Mama. My daughter, A, will soon be three years old. My son, J is nearly 7 months old. I was born in the early nineties, so I find myself the ‘baby’ of the group often, as most of the crowds I blend with best are at least 5 years older than me.
I am a wife. My husband and I will close 2017 with five years of marriage. My husband’s career as a Firefighter/EMT is what brought us to Marshalltown in 2015. We’ve been striving to build a new life for ourselves since our arrival, and have adapted together as smoothly as we could have hoped for! My husband is my BEST friend. I love and appreciate him more than he’ll ever know.
I am a daughter. A great one, I think. My parents AND my in-laws are honestly my closest friends. I deeply cherish their love and friendship, guidance and criticism. I could easily be with my parents every day and never tire of them.
I’m a loser. No, seriously, stay with me here. I HAVE to write anything important down, or it will be as if I never heard it the first go around. Mom brain is a VERY real thing, and it doesn’t get any better the further out you get; especially when you add more children to the mix.
I am silly. You will often find me singing, sometimes a radio tune, more often a made-up song about whatever situation I’ve gotten myself into. I also laugh at my own jokes, and possibly quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail far too often…
I am a Christian. For the sake of the blog, being a mother was shared first, but if you’re going to get to know me, you’ll know that all my blessings would not be mine if not for God’s love and patience. Christ comes first, and I pray I show Him in what I say!
I am, by choice, transparent. After failed relationships filled with hurt and confusion, I have made it my mission to be upfront about who I am; because life is too brief to share time with those who won’t love you for who you are. I don’t want pretend friends, I want to build meaningful relationships with other moms who “get it.”
My current flow is “by the seat of my pants” (or better, my children’s pants…), BUT I intend to give an active mom’s perspective on locations/events in town, share parenting successes & misses, and be a source of uplifting and encouraging conversation for moms from all walks of life.
That’s what Little Audrey says….
