Considering a Move
Under Iowa’s open enrollment law, students may attend school in Marshalltown whether their home is inside their school district or not. If the student lives outside the district but wish to attend in Marshalltown, the family has to file an application. Contact the school for more information: 641-754-1000. Marshalltown’s cup overfloweth with churches of many denominations. Do a quick Google search to locate one for your family. Most of the churches in town have websites with service times and more information.
Settling Into Town
After you’ve moved and unpacked (a little) comes the tedious task of setting up utilities and dealing with the necessities that make our houses run. Here are a few options to get you started:
Safety is, of course, of utmost importance. 911 is the number to dial in an emergency. There are times, however, when you want to contact authorities and law enforcement in non-emergency situations.
